North West Fungus Group Public Events
The following events, to be led by NWFG members, will be taking place around the region over the coming months. They are open to anyone interested in learning more about the fascinating and often beautiful, fungal kingdom.
3rd September 2023, 10:30AM – Beginners’ Foray at Moore NR,
Lapwing Lane, Warrington. SJ 578 855 (Sheet
108); WA4 6XE – 2 miles south of Warrington on A56 turn north to
Moore at traffic lights at Higher Walton. 1 mile turn
right crossing railway and ship canal. Go to end of road
to reach entrance. Car park to right of entrance road.

2023 marks the 10th anniversary of UK Fungus Day. Alongside the many UK-based groups, museums, universities and research centres offering a chance to join fungus walks, view fungi collections and visit exhibitions of the latest fungal science and technology, UK Fungus Day invites everyone to join in, delve deeper and learn more about fungi through art and performance, crafts and creations, online talks, quizzes and competitions.
